Specificity: Recognizes STEAP1 (six transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate), a 39kD protein which is a member of a family of cell surface serpentine transmembrane antigens of the prostate. STEAP1 is predominantly expressed in human prostate and is up-regulated in several cancer lines including prostate, ovarian, cervical, breast, testicular, bladder, colon and Ewing sarcoma. It is significantly expressed at cell-cell junctions and has been shown to be a target of human CD8 T cells. This indicates that it could be used as a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. This antibody does not cross-react with other STEAP-proteins
