NovaUltra von Kossa – Alcian Blue Stain Kit

This technique utilizes combined method of von Kossa staining for calcium and Alcian Blue staining for cartilage to demonstrate bone and cartilage matrix deposition simultaneously on the same tissue section. This kit is designed to stain formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections, and may be used for frozen sections as well. Bone will be stained black or deep brown, cartilage will be stained blue and nuclei will be stained pink-red.

The kit components:

• Silver Nitrate Solution -100 ml 
• Sodium Thiosulfate Solution - 100 ml 
• Alcian Blue Solution - 100 ml
• Nuclear Fast Red Solution - 100 ml
